Effective April 1, 2019 the Real Estate Commission core course requirement is dependent upon your license type as follows:
Designated Brokers: Core Course for Designated Brokers - 3
Brokers and Associate Brokers: Core Course for Brokers and Associate Brokers - 3
The applicable course is required if:
1) Your license expiration date is on or after April 1, 2019.
2) Your license has expired and you renew on or after April 1, 2019.
3) You activate a license on or after April 1, 2019.
Licensees with a license expiration date prior to April 1, 2019, who renew prior to April 1, 2019, may fulfill their core course requirement with either Core Course for Designated Brokers - 2 or Core Course for Brokers and Associate Brokers - 2 (depending on your license type) or the core course appropriate for the license type as noted above.
This course is a review of the designated broker’s responsibilities, highlighting key issues identified by the Maine Real Estate Commission.
This course provides an opportunity to regroup and refresh in order to effectively supervise the activities of the company and everyone affiliated with it. Through scenarios, exercises, and concepts delivered in real-world language, designated brokers will come away with a deeper understanding of policies and procedures needed run an effective in-compliance brokerage.
Also addressed are key changes to Maine’s Revised Statutes and a review of advertising laws and rules.
